Why expiry and access limits matter

When you share a file, that link remains accessible until you revoke it — unless you set a limit. Expiry dates and view limits give you automatic control over how long a file stays reachable, without requiring you to remember to manually revoke it later.

Setting an expiry date

  1. When generating a share link, look for the Link Expiry option.
  2. Choose a date and time after which the link will automatically deactivate.
  3. After the chosen time, anyone clicking the link will see a message that it is no longer available.

Setting a view limit

  1. In the share settings, find the Max Views field.
  2. Enter the number of times the link can be opened. Once reached, the link deactivates automatically.

Combining limits

You can set both an expiry date and a view limit at the same time. The link will deactivate as soon as either condition is met — whichever comes first.

Managing active links

All your active shared links are visible in the Shared Links section of your vault. From there you can see remaining views, expiry status, and revoke any link instantly.
