What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you log in. Even if someone has your password, they cannot access your account without also having your second factor — typically a code from an authenticator app on your phone.

Enabling 2FA on your account

  1. Go to Account > Security Settings.
  2. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code shown in your authenticator app to confirm setup.
  5. Save your backup codes in a safe place — these let you recover access if you lose your device.

Logging in with 2FA enabled

After entering your email and password, you'll be prompted to enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app. This code refreshes every 30 seconds, so use it promptly.

Losing access to your authenticator

If you lose access to your authenticator app, use one of the backup codes you saved during setup. If you no longer have your backup codes, contact support for account recovery assistance.

We strongly recommend enabling 2FA. It is one of the most effective ways to protect your account from unauthorized access.
